Mesa Family Dentist
In this day and age of specialists, we pride ourselves on being general dentists in the truest sense of the words. We provide top quality, gentle, caring dental care for everyone in your family, and we do mean everyone.
Though the dental needs of your preschooler are very different from yours, and from the dental needs of your parents or grandparents, we are able to provide the depth and breadth of service necessary to help patients from every generation. We’ll see your family through all of the usual milestones experienced as you all progress through the stages of your lives.
Dental Care Through the Years from a Mesa Family Dentist
For the most part, our youngest patients only need to see us for check-ups and regular cleanings. We provide the best of preventative care, and many of our pediatric patients never have a single cavity. Advances in preventative care include sealants, which are a thin coating applied to the chewing surface grooves of the back teeth. In children and teens, these back teeth are the most common location for cavities.
We’ll help you make sure everything is progressing as it should be as your school-age children loose their baby teeth and gain their adult teeth. Around 12 years of age, the second molars come in. When these teeth are fully erupted, we can talk about orthodontic care, if that is a concern for your child.
Older teens and young adults need to decide what to do about their wisdom teeth. As this is typically a time of some upheaval in many people’s lives, we like to start talking with our patients about this before they go off to college, join the military, or take off to backpack around Europe. If your teen or young adult is starting to experience oral aches and pains that might be wisdom teeth, give us a call and we can help guide you through.
The needs of our adult patients are incredibly diverse. Do you just need routine check-ups and periodic x-rays? That’s what we’re here for! Are you thinking about making some improvements to a less-than-perfect smile? We can talk about porcelain veneers or porcelain crowns, or maybe a professionally supervised teeth whitening session will be all that it takes to make your smile glow.
Our older patients may experience more complex issues as their teeth deteriorate with age. We can provide beautiful, comfortable, natural looking dentures, if that becomes necessary, but we strive always to preserve our patients’ oral health by maintaining the natural teeth whenever possible. Dental implants or dental bridges are solutions for our patients that have lost teeth due to injury or decay.
No matter what your age, we provide the very best in basic dental care.
