I want to avoid getting bad breath when am talking.
Thanks, Melisa
Dear Melisa,
Having bad breath may be a sign that you have periodontal disease. We recommend you visit your dentist to schedule a dental cleaning if you are not going on a regular basis. Brush your teeth and tongue at least twice a day and floss your teeth on a daily basis. Flossing is vital in preventing periodontal disease. If you do have routine visits twice a year and have no signs of gum disease then try to keep your mouth moist throughout the day by drinking lots of water or chew sugarless gum. Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol because they tend to dry our mouths out which can make our breath worse throughout the day. If this does not solve your problem visit your physician because there are times when stomach problems or the foods we eat affect the way our breath smells.
